I. Introduction

II. Eagles and Turkeys
Eagles
Eagles are the King of birds
Raven, chicken etc. are lesser birds
Eagles always want to live in high rocky cliffs and wish to fly high
Chickens
Always live low on dusty land and muddy fields
Never think of flying high
Never dream about living high
They are satisfied with whatever they get in the mud on the earth
Avoid these chickens at all costs; if they are unavoidable, do your best to spend less time with them.
III. 9 PRINCIPLES OF EAGLES
1. Flies high and lives high
On the plain below, ravens and chickens are a nuisance to them
Ravens and chickens search for food among decayed dead bodies
Below it is always dirty, muddy and foul smelling.
Eagles want only the fresh air up in the heights
Merits of flying high
A wider vision
Eagles have strong vision.
It never goes without a prey - never lack food
What we should do to enable us to fly high
1. Find out the eagle within you
2. A passion for flying and living high
3. Disassociate with chickens
4. Make use of all opportunities to fly high
2. Concentrate on your vision
No matter the obstacles, the eagle will not move his focus from the prey until he grabs it.
Have a vision and remain focused no matter what the obstacle and you will succeed.
3. A lonely bird
Eagles fly alone at high altitude and never flock together with sparrows or other small birds.
No other bird can get to the height of the eagle.
Stay away from sparrows and geese.
Eagles fly with Eagles only
4. Eagles love storm
When clouds gather, eagles get excited.
The eagle uses the raging storm to lift him above the clouds.
We can use the storms of life to rise to greater heights.
Storms do not have to overcome us.
Achievers relish challenges and use them profitably.
5. Comfort zone is an enemy to success
By the time the growing birds reach flying age, the comfort of the nest and the luxury of free meals makes them quite reluctant to leave the nest.
When an child eagle is grown enough to leave the nest the mother eagle begins stirring up the nest.
She throws them out and then takes off the soft layers of the nest, leaving the thorns bare.
When the scared eaglets again jump into the nest, they are pricked by thorns.
Shrieking and bleeding they jump out again this time wondering why their mother and father who love them so much are torturing them.
The people who love us do not let us languish in sloth but push us hard to grow and prosper.
Even in their seemingly bad actions they have good intentions for us.
6. A humble bird
Eagles make big nests
Often, whenever it is built on branches of trees, some small birds also find an abode in it and lay eggs.
Eagles never chase them away
An eagle has no competitor, only co-inhabitants
7. Eagle tests before it trusts
A female Eagle tests its male partner before she trusts him.
She flies down to earth with the male pursuing her and she picks a twig.
She flies back into the air with the male pursuing her.
Once she has reached a height high enough for her, she lets the twig fall to the ground and watches it as it falls.
The male chases after the twig.
The faster it falls, the faster he chases it.
He has to catch it before it falls to the ground.
He then brings it back to the female eagle.
Whether in private life or in business, one should test commitment of people intended for partnership.
8. Do not compromise your values
Eagles do not eat dead things.
They feed only on fresh prey.
Vultures eat dead animals, but eagles will not.
Never be so desperate that you consume anything that is thrown at you.
Remember, you are an eagle and you need to hunt your goals and enjoy them fresh like eagles enjoy their fresh prey.
Do not compromise yourself to the extent of forgetting your true worth.
Be careful with what you feed your eyes and ears with, especially in movies and on TV.
What value do you place on yourself?
9. Renews for a longer life
Eagles renews themselves when they feel that they have become stale and tired
An eagle may live for 70 years
But to reach this age the eagle must take a hard decision.
In its 40s:
An Eagle feels growing old, his feathers become weak and cannot take him as fast as it should.
When he feels weak and about to die, he retires to a place far away in the cliff.
There the eagle knocks its’ beak against a rock until it plucks out.
After plucking it out, the eagle will wait for a new beak to grow.
Then it will pluck out its’ talons.
When its’ new talons have grown, the eagle starts plucking its’ old-aged feathers
We occasionally need to shed off old habits & items that burden us without adding to our lives.
Only if we are freed from past burdens, we can take advantage of the valuable outcomes from a renewal.
There is no short cut to success.
Events in life are not a result of chance
It is a result of choices

Let us choose LIFE
Let us choose a life like that of an Eagle.
